Robert Burns Supper

The Bard

A grand Scottish tradition has been the celebration of the birth of Scotland's greatest poet, Robert Burns, born on January 25, 1759. 2013 celebrated the 254th anniversary of his birth.

Clan Donald brought this tradition to Northeast Wisconsin in 2010, with its first Burns Night Supper. This is an annual tradition held throughout Scotland and sponsored by many St. Andrew's Society organizations in the USA. The evening is full of Burns' poetry and song, the Caledonian Dancers, Bagpiping, a banquet of Scottish dishes including the traditional haggis, and Burns style toasts.

Clan Donald held its 4th annual dinner on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Following the dinner and the toast to the haggis, there was entertainment including bagpipes, singing, and a raffle of Scottish goods.

We are sorry to announce that Clan Donald won't be hosting a Burns Supper in 2016. Check back with us for future announcements.
